Nikki Morris, nee Keating, is a South Yorkshire, England, based artist and has painted all her life, much of which is self taught. At college she studied Industrial design obtaining distinction. Her working life encompassed designing museum interactives for children and has work throughout the country. As a teacher of both art and design for nearly 10 years, has worked with many social groups from college students to homeless people, people with mental health difficulties and children, in both studio and residential settings.
Throughout her working life until 2004, with the birth of her son, she exhibited locally and in Cooper Gallery undertaking a wide variety of projects and subject matter. Her work was extensively collected at the Gallery and has also sold many pieces through commissions and generally all over the world.
She is currently rebuilding her portfolio after being a fulltime mum for the past 4 years, and considers herself as an emerging artist being predominantly fascinated with painting the male form, portraits, male nudes, occasionally erotic art and more recently surrealism. 2009 will see her first solo exhibition. In addition to this she has also sat as a nude life model for another artist, which was a great challenge. Nikki will also consider private teaching of drawing, watercolour and acrylics. If you require any further information on her work, modelling or teaching please don't hesitate to contact her.
