Hi, I am Nikki Morris, nee Keating, a South Yorkshire, England, based artist and I have painted all my life, much of which is self taught. At college I studied Industrial Design obtaining distinction. My working life encompassed designing museum interactives for children and I have work throughout the country. As a teacher of both art and design for nearly 10 years, I worked with many social groups from college students to homeless people, people with mental health difficulties and children, in both studio and residential settings.
Throughout my working life until 2004, with the birth of my son, I exhibited locally and through Cooper Gallery in Barnsley and undertook a wide variety of projects and subject matter. My work was extensively collected at the Gallery and I sold many pieces through commissions all over the world.
I am currently rebuilding my portfolio after being a fulltime mum for the past 4 years, and consider myself as an emerging artist being predominantly fascinated with painting the male and female form, portraits, nudes, occasionally erotic art and more recently surrealism and my new love Burlesque. 2009 saw my first solo exhibition. In addition to this I also sat as a nude life model for other artists, which was a great challenge. I also teach private classes of drawing, watercolour and acrylics. If you require any further information on my work, modelling or teaching please don't hesitate to contact me.
Most of my artwork is available to buy, some pieces are sold through my Etsy shop and some I sell direct to you in my online art-shop. In all cases I want you to love owning the pieces as much as I do making them.
All pieces are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed and dated by myself which includes a picture of your piece, and are delivered through the post. All purchased artwork is beautifully wrapped and securely packaged to ensure you receive it in perfect condition.
I will take on a variety of commissions, from portraits through to the limit of your imagination.
There is no charge or obligation when discussing your ideas with me, and then before work commences, a full breakdown of work undertaken will be drawn up so there are no nasty surprises and you get the piece of art you treasure at an affordable price.
I am friendly and approachable so please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please feel free to contact me about my artwork, commissions or any comments you may have.
